MINITOR IV®

Minitor IV

Minitor® IV FAQs

MINITOR IV is synthesized and programmable meaning the frequency and codes can be changed by a field programmer. What are the frequency ranges and coding rules?
MINITOR IV covers the 143-174 MHz frequency range with specific sub-bands of 143-150.999, 151-158.999, 159-166.999 and 167-174.000. This means 1 receiver can be programmed for freqs within that particular freq. range. The MINITOR IV handles tone frequencies between 280 and 3400 Hz. UHF frequencies covered are 406 to 430 and 450 to 512.

Other synthesized products have specific rules for which frequencies can be programmed, does the MINITOR IV have similar rules?
Yes, the MINITOR IV operates via a microprocessor with a specific step frequency. This only allows frequencies that are divisible by .0050Hz. One simple way to tell whether or not you have a valid frequency is to examine whether or not the frequency ends with a 0 or a 5 such as XXX.XX5 or XXX.XX0. Please contact Product Marketing for specific requirements on these frequencies.

My customer often requested 2 frequencies that were greater than 3 MHz apart, what are the separation rules for MINITOR IV?
Each sub-band or receiver is 8 MHz wide therefore customers can have up to 8 MHz between their two frequencies.

What are the new changes for warranty/service of the MINITOR IV?
The standard warranty is now one full year for parts and labor.
